Cyril Michau teaches at the Collège René Descartes, a secondary school located in the suburbs of Paris, France. He graduated from the University of Jussieu in Paris with highest honors and graduated as professor in 2005.
During his last 10 years of teaching, Mr. Michau has quickly climbed the ladder of the French education system, thanks to his multiple skill set. Hired as a teacher at the Collège René Descartes, by his second year at the school he was serving as the discipline coordinator as well as the ICT/technology coordinator, leading and delivering numerous technology trainings to his colleagues. A champion for technology in the classroom, he soon began devoting half of his time teaching and the other half as a technology trainer for 125 secondary schools within his academy. His mission is to spark interest in and boost the usage of digital technology in school, rooted in strong pedagogical practices.
In addition, Mr. Michau has been a mathematics expert to the French Ministry of Education for the last 3 years. Concerned with the success of each and every student, he provides expert support and advice on teaching and technology for all levels within the French education system. In 2013, he demonstrated his teaching practices at the request of the French Prime Minister and the Minister of National Education.
Involved and dynamic, Mr. Michau personally and fully invests himself in everything he does and vigorously supports his students. Always listening, motivating and encouraging his students, he re-energizes by practicing sports, including rock climbing and running.
Mr. Michau continually pushes himself on a personal quest for innovation in teaching. He is always searching for new ways to engage every student and give each one the highest chance of success.
